Resist with Women

Historically, fascism targets women to control their reproductive capacities, enforce traditional patriarchal hierarchies, and secure a steady supply of future citizens and soldiers for the state. Given how women have historically responded at the ballot box and in times of crisis, in nurturing ways rather than destructive ones, there is an even more profound modern reason to control.  Misogyny and the policing of women are central to authoritarian and ultranationalist movements. Women's rights aren't just human rights. They are essential for the compassionate and humane survival of all of us.
